WSET Level 3 Award in Wines Online Class @ WSET Global Classroom

The Level 3 Award in Wines course includes nine interactive classes over a nine-week period. Students register through The Wine Center and sit the exam at one of our satellite locations, but take classes in a digital, global classroom. An instructor from the WSET® leads the course, which includes 9 weekly, interactive classes.

Each week covers a new topic and students can log in whenever they want during the week. The online program has a set start and finish date for the week but no set class time. 10 hours of study is recommended per week to cover the online activities and read the relevant chapters in the textbook. There is also a one-day tasting tutorial. A student can contact the educator at any time for the duration of the scheduled course, should they have any questions. Each week includes a series of independent activities guiding the student through the key wine regions of the world looking at the factors in the vineyard and winery that influence wine styles.

Students are advised to taste a range of wines during their studies. A list of recommended tasting samples will be found in the course specifications. Students can post their tasting notes in the Online Classroom for review by the educator.

Successful candidates receive the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines.

WSET Level 1 Award in Wines Online Class @ WSET Global Classroom

The Level 1 Award in Wines course will be based around a four-week, five module online learning program with educator support available for this time. The course modules should be followed in sequential order during this four-week window. The course material should take about six hours in total to complete, plus revision time. Regular access and participation in the course online activities is essential for this mode of study.

The course prepares the student for our qualifications and they are guided by a WSET educator. The student can contact the educator any time for the duration of the scheduled course, should they have any questions. Each module includes a series of independent activities to help students understand the differences between grape varieties, types and styles of wine.

Students are advised to taste a range of wines during their studies. All required wines for the course can be found in the online Equipment List. Any additional wines can be found in the Specification. Students can post their tasting notes in the Online Classroom for review by the educator. Additional tastings may be included by the APP at their discretion.

Successful candidates receive the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines.
